Just to catch up and document the latest development surrounding the Content Management System softwares I use (or ever used) at kyantonius.com, here is the list of links that may be somehow useful for you as well.
- PostNuke 0.750 Gold Release
- Mambo 4.5.1 RC4 available
- XOOPS 220.127.116.11 released!
- Land Down Under v701 is out !
- Movable Type 3.11 Released
As you can see, I haven’t updated my sites yet to the latest version of those softwares. Because of many things. One to mention for sure is the fact that I don’t have enough time to do such thing at the moment. Upgrading usually takes much time than you expected. If something goes wrong, it will hurt you as you have to re-do all work you’ve done. In the worst scenario, you are going to lose everything. So, ’till I’m ready for that, I will keep my sites untouched. Hands off!! 🙂
Today, it’s my pleasure to let you know that the Quran module/component which has been around for almost two years now, is also available for Land Down Under (LDU). FYI, LDU is just another CMS you can use to manage the content and the look of your site.
To see the demo of this plugin, please click here. Or, you may want to have it right away for your site, here is the link for download.
As always, your comments, suggestions or questions regarding this release are welcome. Please use the contact form available on this site.
Today, I released, as promised before, a dictionary module/component/plugin for three CMS at the same time. You can download it here.
I’m sorry, due to lack of time I can not provide the link for demo yet. I hope I could make it available soon for public view.
Have a nice weekend!
Update: May 25, 2004
You are now able to preview the Dictionary module/component/plugin for:
1. Mambo Open Source: click here.
2. XOOPS: click here.
3. LDU: click here.
Referring to all comments I got regarding this release, I would like to let you know that this Dictionary is the English US dictionary and it doesn’t include English spellings. My apology for any incovenience it may cause.
By the end of this week, I hope, I could release a module/component/plugin called Dictionary for three CMS at the same time, respectively for XOOPS, Mambo Open Source and Land Down Under (LDU).
This dictionary module was initially coded by David Payne for PHP-Nuke and is derived from “The Online Plain Text English Dictionary” OPTED (http://msowww.anu.edu.au/~ralph/OPTED/), a public domain English word list dictionary, based on the public domain portion of “The Project Gutenberg Etext of Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary” which is in turn based on the 1913 US Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary.
FYI, the same module is already available for PostNuke when Prof. Rivera ported it to PN a long time ago. After his site is now offline for non-specified reasons, the distribution of the module has been continued by me until today. And now, I would like to make it available for other CMS as well. That was the main reason why I converted the module to work with three CMS I mentioned before.
I hope you will enjoy using it. Until then, please stay tuned.
