After breaking up with Miro, the old core development team of Mambo has set up a new development home for this award-winning open source CMS. The formerly known Mambo will then be kept free and developed towards the new vision, although a new name is still to be found yet.
On the other hand, Miro itself said that the Mambo copyright and trademark has been transfered to Mambo Foundation and retained the idea that it was initiated to safeguard Mambo from people who will exploit Mambo for their own advantages or profits. We’ll see what is going to happen next.
But apart from this issue, today the OpenSourceMatters team has published an article with an image containing a lot of photos to express their thanks to all people who have supported so far. Of course that is only the small fraction of all supporters. What makes it very interesting, especially for myself, is the fact that one of close-up photos shown on that image belongs to me. That is surely against my expectation. 🙂 This kind of action reminds me to the same promotion done by Firefox a few months ago. You can see the the image below. I cropped it so that only section contains my photo is displayed.
Anyhow, the real work still needs to be done and the journey is just beginning. Therefore, we strongly need your support and without you, this work might not happen and most likely become an impossible mission.
