Coming soon: SLAMPP Live CD!

At the moment I’m trying to develop a small and generic linux distro which will run directly from CDROM and has a possibility to be installed on harddisk. Unfortunately I’m not going to tell you now more about this until it’s finished. But from the image, I’m sure, you are able to see what it is going to be. 🙂

Does anybody have some interests to help me by hosting and distributing this live CD on his/her server?

Image is removed. I don’t have any intention whatsoever to infringe the trademark of other’s. So, until further noticed, please remove the same image you’ve taken here on any place you put it. I will create a new image with a new look soon to replace the existing image. My apology to any party involved in this issue. The development itself is still going on and I hope I could release the distro at the end of this month if nothing bad happens. Wish me luck. 😀

    It’s just a small distro which is maybe comparable with other small live CD distros. But I try to make it different with something else. My goal is to help web developers or masters to present their work, but on the other side will also help people who want to know more about Linux in general. I know in the beginning it is going to be hard to compete, but everyone has their own choice of solution. Let them decide which solution is for them the best.

  10. Iya, linux adalah trademark-nya Linus. Yang menjadi persoalan sekarang adalah saya tidak ingin menggunakan nama dagang yang sudah ada dan dimiliki oleh orang lain. Oleh karena itu, saya akan menghilangkan tulisan Slackware, SLAX dan Linux di logo yang baru dan menggantikannya dengan sesuatu yang lain. Nama distro masih tetap SLAMPP, karena targetnya memang untuk web developer/master. Demikian supaya bisa dipahami bersama.

    Oh iyah kenapa harus menghilangkan logo tux nya maksutnya linux , walaupun trade mark dari torvalds tapi SLAMPP juga masih menggunakan core linux kan , jadinya tetep pake trademarknya torvalds .

    Kecuali kalo mau pake BSD , gak usah pake logo tux ama trademarknya si torvalds itu.
